Glenn Damato studied physics and astronomy at the University of Iowa. He served in the US Navy as a nuclear propulsion plant operator aboard an attack submarine. A lifelong space and aviation geek, he holds a pilot’s license and once survived a parachute malfunction (fortunately, someone else had been flying the plane).
