Grace Ellen Queen is originally from a small town in the Appalachian Mountains of North Carolina. Her early experiences there informed her fascination with the beauty of nature, the joys and struggles of rural life, and the complex dynamics of intergenerational drama.
After receiving a degree in Creative Writing from the University of North Carolina in Asheville, she headed out west. Now she resides in Seattle Washington with her husband, Kevin, and her oversized Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Beans.
When not writing, she can be found wandering aimlessly from one room to another, wondering where she left her favorite pen.
