Graham Denny is a Christian charity founder, song writer and author from Suffolk, UK.
Graham founded The BASIC Life Charity in 2000 in Felixstowe, UK. (www.basic.org.uk). BASIC is an acronym of 'Business And Service In Christ'. The charity has two shops in Felixstowe and has been able to donate to a vast number of local individuals, groups and organizations. BASIC run a registered food bank and under-write the costs of local school breakfasts and other community projects.
In addition to writing books Graham has written a number of songs, including 'I Just Want to Stay' which has been adopted by the International Death Row befriending charity Human Writes, who befriend those on death row. (www.humanwrites.org).
As a writer, Graham has learnt his craft over many years through song writing and writing for pleasure.
He has written five books to date including:-
Friends of Freddie - an allegorical debut novel which has adult themes. This debut novel has found success church circles. The content is sometimes violent and graphic but underlying is a story with metaphors to be explored on many levels.
Pippy and Beth - a children's story. A gentle tale about one seven year old's experience of her beloved pet's death. Beth has to deal with the loss of her pet, Pippy. She receives lot's of help from Pippy's animal friends. Described as an 'enchanting story'.
It's All About YOU! - An unusual book which deals with life perceptions, experiences and expectations with a Christian leaning. A tool for those who are anxious or facing life problems. Graham wrote this book by drawing on personal experiences and observations.
A Small Bag of Pebbles - Graham ventured into the world of poetry with this first collection of poems. Acclaimed as 'spirit filled and thought-provoking'.
Suffolk and Beyond - Best-selling Suffolk author Charlie Haylock wrote a foreword to this second collection of poems. Again the poetry reflects Graham's faith but in addition the book reflects the changing life in the UK rural county of Suffolk.
This book has received very high praise and Graham has been described as one of a new breed of British poets who will come to prominence.
Graham has been invited to talk about this book and read poems on both local and BBC radio.
Graham is a Christian man who came to faith via a sudden 'road to Damascus' experience. From the time of that conversion he has worked to spread the Christian message through many means.
