Greg Banks has worked in K12 education for over 20 years, serving as a teacher, administrator, and researcher in in public, exam, and private schools. During this time, he has contributed to school improvement efforts outside the classroom as department chair, teacher-leader, and as a creator of professional development for teachers at the high school and college level. Dr. Banks is also an education researcher, completing his PhD in Chemistry while remaining in the classroom full time. His doctoral studies focused on how teachers enact their beliefs in their classroom practices and the impacts of professional development on these beliefs and practices over time.
Dr. Banks is a husband, a father to two wonderful teenage girls, a daily meditator, and holds 4th degree black belt in Isshinryu Karate. He lives in the Boston area with his wife and a marmalade tabby named Dexter, who is the Reacher of cats.
