Harry Benson is one of Britain’s leading champions for marriage. As Research Director for Marriage Foundation, his findings are routinely cited in the media and by politicians and have made front page news on several occasions. Harry has spent more than twenty years researching, writing and teaching about marriage and family. As founder of a Bristol charity, he taught hundreds of relationship courses to thousands of couples. With his wife Kate, he wrote the bestselling 'What Mums Want and Dads Need to Know', which reached #11 on Amazon UK. He also wrote Let’s Stick Together, a pioneering relationship book and programme for new parents in post-natal clinics and Surestart centres, evaluated by the Department for Education, and co-authored influential family policy papers for the Centre for Social Justice. Aged 21, Harry was previously one of the youngest Royal Navy helicopter pilots to serve in the Falklands war, about which he wrote his bestselling military history SCRAM, before becoming a partner in a successful stockbroking firm in Asia. Surviving their marital crisis, Harry, Kate and their family returned to the UK where he achieved a first class honours BSc Psychology degree from Bristol University. Harry and Kate have now been married for 34 years and they have six children.
