Holly McLean is a Certified Parent Educator, mother of nine, and known online as The Mommy Answer Lady. She was born in Washington, D.C. in 1964 and grew up in Independence, Missouri. Her and her husband lived in Europe for several years while he was in the Air Force and had their first child, Benjamin, in Germany.
When Benjamin was an infant, it was discovered that he was visually impaired. As he grew, it was also discovered that he had ADHD and was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome later in life. Her experiences raising him and her other eight children are the basis of her knowledge and wisdom when it comes to training children to behave properly even when faced with disabilities.
She currently resides in Independence with her husband, youngest two children, cats - Boris & Natasha, and their dog, Cookie.
Holly was always intrigued by family musical groups and formed one of her own with her husband and children. For several years as the children were growing up, they performed a variety of gospel and patriotic music for audiences large and small. The family was honored by being asked to perform for the US Olympics trials in Kansas City, the American Royal, The KC Royals, the National Day of Prayer in Washington, D.C. and many more venues.
One of Holly's passions is helping young moms learn how to train their children to behave so that they are able to learn while growing an appropriate parent/child relationship. In pursuit of this endeavor, she can be seen on her YouTube channel, where she provides solutions to common parenting dilemmas, as well as her website www.mommyanswerlady.com.
In 2019, Holly founded Parenting Dynamics, an online school for parents who are struggling with their children's behaviors.
Her new book, How to Train Your Child to Behave, gives practical and applicable solutions to child behavioral problems and lays out a new and very effective method to stop whining, fussy crying and tantrums for good!
