Isabella Karent is a nutritionist, dietician and author who was born and raised in Slovenia. After studying at university in Milan, she moved to London, where she worked for a company which created recipes for specific diets related to health conditions.
It was while she was there that Isabella discovered the new Ketogenic Diet and saw how it positively changed the lives of many who adhered to it. She began a study of the phenomenon and saw that many who failed cited reasons that included a lack of bread.
A short time later she discovered the Chaffle, a waffle that can be either savoury or sweet and which could replace bread for those following a ketogenic diet. With that discovery, Isabella decided that a book that simply had recipes for Chaffles would be a good way to get the information to millions and so wrote her first title, Keto Chaffle Recipes, which contains dozens of simple ideas for this tasty treat.
Isabella has followed this book with a second, Hashimoto’s Cookbook, which helps suffers of autoimmune diseases and is also available on Amazon.
She intends to write more books on healthy food in the future and hopes that this will one day become her main occupation.
In her spare time, Isabella like writing, cycling and visiting coffee shops. She is keen on cooking and baking and is always exploring new ideas in the kitchen which aim to provide readers with better health, without losing any of the taste. She lives in South London, with her two cats and a goldfish.
