Ivo Ragazzini is an Italian writer who likes the historical genre.
In 2012 he published The Ghost of Girolamo Riario, (Il Fantasma di Girolamo Riario) translated in English, Spanish and Russian language in 2020 by Tektime, a historical novel that explains in detail the murder of Girolamo Riario, Caterina Sforza's first husband, during the Renaissance.
In 2013 he published Under The Green Claws - The Last Ghibellines, (Sotto le Branche Verdi - Gli Ultimi Ghibellini) translated in English and Spanish by Tektime, a historical account of an epic battle between Guelphs and Ghibellines in 1200 cited by Dante in the divine comedy.
In December 2018 he published “Secrets of the Rubicon” (I Segreti del Rubicone), translated in English and Spanish in 2020 by Tektime, a historical novel that explains for the first time how the Rubicon was not just a river, but a wooden palisade in the Rubicon colour, purple red, the official colour of Rome, plus many other unpublished things of what happened when Caesar and his legionaries decided to cross it.
In 2021 he published ”Il Tesoro di Bargagli”, (The Bargagli’s Tresure) historical thriller occurred in Italy during the Second World War, not yet translated in English.
In 2021 he published Pineta in Love (Pinewood in Love), not yet translated in English, a romance book set in Romagna in a village of huts in a Pinewood beach, completely demolished about ten years ago, by people who did not understand the unique beauty of the place, which the author, when was a young man, had actually lived and narrated in the book.
Between 2014 and 2023 he was selected in numerous Italian literary awards with at least 30/35 short stories, published in as many anthologies, plus some poems published in poetry awards.
