J.Donnini is a children’s book author, musician and poet who writes for ages 3-10. She hopes to inspire, entertain and empower children through her work. Her previous books include The Story of Ruby Lee, Fireflies and Echo. Her most recent works, Spirit Bunnies, for ages 8 and up and Patches and the Spirit Bunnies for children 5-9 are written and illustrated in the style of a classic fable that carries lessons of empathy and compassion, both important points of dialogue between parents, teachers, and children at home and in the classroom. Joy has also created soundscape-enhanced audio and video book versions of these recent works which she incorporates into her author’s readings at schools and bookstores to bring the stories to life and engage the children in an exciting and innovative way.
