James was born in San Bernardino, California and grew up in Long Beach, just south of Los Angeles. James worked as a firefighter/paramedic for 16 years until he suffered injuries that ended his career. After leaving the department, James moved his family to Northeastern Washington state. Now that all three of his daughters are grown, James lives with his wife Patricia and cat named Luna. James has always enjoyed telling stories and writing. His interest has been in mystery, thrillers, and suspense. Growing up, his favorite shows were; The Twilight Zone, Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Night Gallery, and The Outer Limits.
