James Festini has been writing since his mid-teens when he began writing poetry and philosophy into a journal given to him by his mother. He continued writing, starting a series of collections that he would add to faithfully for the next 30-plus years. These journals contain some insights that are incorporated into his books. Born in Lima, Peru, James had dual a dual citizenship and came to California with his 5 siblings. Diagnosed with ADD by the 4th grade, along with a high IQ, James was often found alone in thought with very few friends. The high school years are a book in itself, and by senior year he went back to Peru for his Senior year of High School. After 9 months he joined the US Army Infantry, shot a bunch of weapons, and was honorably discharged. After the Military, he went to college to study theater and got detoured with a 2nd wife and a career in real estate sales. He draws on his own life experiences and lesson, learned to help others who may need to find their path in business and in life. In his books, he shares how he and others weathered the Great Recession of 2008. Like many, he lost everything. But unlike many, he could rebound quickly, and just a year later began incorporating old fashioned hustle and grit into his business, well ahead of others in his field. Having suffered a devastating series of family events in 2011, he turned them into a helpful inspiration for others rather than succumb to depression. He uses these life experiences to help others answer the question, “Why am I here?” Often using humor and reality to help the reader get through the difficulties of life, relationships, and business. He studied the teachings of people whose lives are dedicated to helping others, and in Life: There’s an App for That, he puts a fresh, new, high-tech spin on self-help, one that will surely resonate with the readers of this book. His goal is to enrich the lives of others. Besides writing, he creates often creates small family and business videos sometimes referred to as a vlog, produces a podcast to helps others live more productive lives. James and his wife Nicole have called Southern California "home" for over 40 years, and have 4 wonderful children (Kristin 24, James Jr. 19, Jamie 14, and January 8 years old) He is also an avid wannabe triathlete and has completed 7 marathons. If he is not dead he had better do an IronMan by 50 years of age.
