James Knisely's novel Chance (An Existential Horse Opera) was a finalist for the 2003 Washington State Book Awards. His poetry and prose have appeared in Exquisite Corpse, North Dakota Quarterly, Hippocampus, the brilliant but now defunct Point No Point and other fine journals, and with several essays online.
He has been interviewed in The Raven Chronicles (Vol 13 No. 1, 2007) and online with the North Dakota Quarterly.
Knisely is the Novelist-in-Residence Emeritus at Seattle's legendary Blue Moon Tavern.
