Dr. Jamin Andreas Hübner (BA, MA, MS, ThD) is a multidisciplinary scholar, activist, and organizational leader. He loves planning, building, synthesizing, and teaching, and currently serves as a professor of economics at the University of the People (global), Affiliate Research Professor of Philosophy, Religion, and Economics at LCC International University (Klaipėda, Lithuania), and Treasurer of the Breadroot Natural Foods Cooperative (Rapid City, South Dakota; the ancestral lands of the Oceti Sakowin). Throughout his career he has served as an econ professor at Western Dakota Technical Institute, and an Associate Professor, VP of Academic Affairs, and Director of Institutional Effectiveness in liberal arts higher education. Hübner's writing and research has been published by Routledge, Wiley-Blackwell, University of Toronto Press, AAR, Eisenbrauns, SAGE, and other scholarly venues in a variety of fields spanning the humanities and social sciences. He has also served on a variety of boards, program committees and as a referee and editor for several academic journals. With Jessica, a licensed psychotherapist and vintage reseller, they make their home in the (stolen) Black Hills of South Dakota alongside their two rescue dogs, Shosta and ζωή, and two tarantulas, Qoheleth and Hevel. Besides the hobbit's life, Jamin enjoys performing in local jazz and funk bands and playing table tennis.
