Jay B. Myers is an entrepreneur, author, mentor, and the former Founder/CEO of Interactive Solutions, Inc. (ISI), a firm that specializes in videoconferencing, distance learning, telemedicine and audio-visual sales and support. With a background in sales, and a heart for entrepreneurship, Jay and his team grew ISI to a $25 million company before selling it in 2018. Since then, Jay has spent his time mentoring other entrepreneurs about the ins and outs of business ownership. Jay will be releasing his third book, Rounding Third and Heading for Home, this spring. His newest book is the third in his collection on small business and entrepreneur experiences, following Hitting the Curveballs: How Crisis Can Strengthen and Grow Your Business (2014) and Keep Swinging: An Entrepreneur’s Story of Overcoming Adversity and Achieving Small Business Success (2007). When not writing, Jay spends his time sharing advice and anecdotes of his career to business schools and professional organizations, mentoring young entrepreneurs, spending time with family, and catching a Memphis Tigers baseball game whenever possible. --- Myers started ISI in 1996 and built it into a $25 million company with 50 employees and offices in Memphis, Nashville, Little Rock Knoxville,Chattanooga. and Oxford, Miss. ISI was named to Inc. magazine's "INC 500/5000" list in 2001, 2003, 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012 as one of fastest growing private companies in the United States. Additionally, ISI was also named the 2004 Oak Ridge National Labs Small Business of the Year, and was the recipient of the 2003 Kemmons Wilson (founder of Holiday Inn) Emerging Business Award. ISI was awarded the Memphis Business Journal Small Business of the Year in 2001. Prior to starting ISI, Myers earned numerous sales awards while with international corporations Eastman Kodak and Hewlett Packard.
