Jennifer MackInday is an award-winning author, veteran caregiver, and military mom. She is a graduate of Indiana University and spent over fifteen years working in advertising and marketing before starting her career as a writer. In 2009, Jennifer co-authored "Friends for Life: Strangers Brought Together by the War in Iraq", which received Honorable Mention in the Eric Hoffer Awards for Excellence in Independent Publishing-Legacy Nonfiction category. Jennifer is a strong supporter of the U.S. Military, Veterans, and their families. She is currently serving as a fellow with the Elizabeth Dole Foundation, advocating on behalf of military caregivers nationwide, and is a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary, Daughters of the American Revolution, and Wounded Warrior Project Warriors Speak® Team. The proud recipient of the President's Volunteer Service Award for her work with Soldiers' Angels, Jennifer has also been honored by The Herald-Times as an Everyday Hero, and a Girls' Inc.
