Jesus Ramirez-Bermudez is a neuropsychiatrist at the National Institute of Neurology and Neurosurgery of Mexico. His research work explores the boundaries between neurology and psychiatry, as well as the history and philosophy of both disciplines. His literary work seeks an integration of clinical narrative, literary essay, scientific communication and creative writing. In 2009 he won the Literary Essay Award from the National Institute of Fine Arts.
