The Ledge was a NY Times bestseller and won the National Outdoor Book Award in Outdoor Literature. During his 39 years of climbing, Jim has traveled from Alaska to Argentina, from Bolivia to Tibet. He was on Mount Everest during the tragic earthquake in 2015, then returned in 2017 to reach the summit.
