Jaime "Jim" Mosquera was born in Panama City, Panama. He spent his formative years in Panama City and St. Louis, Missouri. He graduated near the top of his class from the University of Missouri-Columbia with Masters and Bachelors degrees in Industrial Engineering. After college, he entered the world of telecommunications. He served in a variety of roles including engineering, sales, sales support, product development, and training. In 2004, he received a patent for a software application he developed with a colleague. He furthered his education by successfully completing the requirements for a Series 3 license (Commodity Trading Advisor). Mr. Mosquera actively traded commodities and developed proprietary software programs used in options and futures trading. In the year 2000, he realized something was amiss in the stock market. Many people were successful making money without having any meaningful experience in the markets. His employment in technology led him to recognize a "bubble" forming in companies related to the Internet. He warned those that he knew to remove their money from the stock market since it appeared a large, speculative bubble was about to pop. It did in the year 2000. Over the next several years, he acquired more knowledge that ultimately led to the creation of a financial publication, The Sentinel Financial Report. This publication inspired the book on the financial crisis of 2007-2008 called Escaping Oz: Protecting your wealth during the financial crisis. For many people, the financial crisis was a temporary interruption on the way to greater stock market gains. For him, something more sinister lurks. In 2015, he followed up with another book called Escaping Oz: Navigating the crisis. In the spring of 2017, he released Escaping Oz: An Observer's Reflections, a title that will make you think differently about the world around you. In the summer of 2016, he released, 2020, a thriller featuring politics, financial crisis, and cyber terror. Late in 2016, he released the second novel in the series, Rebellium. In the spring of 2017, he released the third novel, Division. His latest thriller, Hope, released in 2020, offers readers a glimpse of that word during a moment of financial and political turmoil. Readers of the novel series will be disturbed and chilled by what could become America's path. Seth's Epic Journey, his latest novel, is an exploration of life's greatest enigma, and humanity's common thread. The book will make you wonder what actually happened to Seth. Mr. Mosquera contributes to many online financial publications authoring topics such as economics, financial markets, digital money, and crypto. Follow the author at his site (www.JimMosquera.com)
