The inspiration of the KC and the Keep Well Kids Club concept originated in a Northern California rural hospital. As Marketing Director, Joan observed parents bringing their children into the emergency room for care. While many of the habits of adults were already in place, the concept of teaching children good health and safety habits at an early age became her passion. Not only would it impact the lives of families but it would also would assist health care providers by providing a creative approach to preventative health care for children.

The first in a series, The Story of KC and the Keep Well Kids Club - the Lost Island of Keytonia makes health care fun and non threatening as children learn the Keys to Good Health through a cast of diverse and colorful characters and illustration that teach positive and meaningful lessons of teamwork and personal responsibility for healthy physical, mental and emotional well being.
In the story, a cast of characters travels to the Island of Keytonia where they learn the "keys to good health". There they discover the villains of the story: Big bad Bacterionees and Teenie Weenie Meanie Viruseenies. But there is no need to worry, because Dr. Keepwell and his bag of Consciousness Raising Good Germs ( also known as CRGG's) - working with the children of the village - save the day with good health habits and positive thoughts.
The simple study guide make learning fun and encourages interaction and sharing with family and friends. It's a fun adventure for the whole family!
