Under Jodi’s leadership, Base Beauty has accelerated growth across all sales channels and marketing touchpoints, breaking down client silos to craft needle moving campaigns for Clinique, EltaMD Skincare, Conair, Heritage Store, Blushington, Laura Geller, and others. Jodi’s new book, “Facing the Seduction of Success: Inspiring Stories on Leading in Business While Living Your Life,” is a fascinating compilation of stories and insights by fellow professionals culled from her popular podcast, “Where Brains Meets Beauty.” Launched in 2017, the podcast – which has reached the Top 5 iTunes in the fashion/beauty category – recently celebrated its remarkable 200th episode. Says Jodi, “While my podcast listeners are beauty and wellness insiders, the book is my way to share this wisdom so that anyone in any industry can learn how to lead in business while living a full, rich life outside of work.” Jodi is now starting up a new format, doing 30-minute recording sessions and an afterparty segment over YouTube live. Jodi laid the foundation for her eventual rise in the beauty marketing industry with a unique resume of unique “stepping stone” jobs with BBDO, Cosmopolitan, Glamour, digital start-ups and beauty brands. She made her breakthrough as a copywriter with the skincare company, Bliss, and a concurrent side hustle freelancing for Avon. After numerous gigs and full-time positions as a copy writer, Jodi took the reins as Creative Director for the global prestige French brand L’Occitane en Provence for four years.
