Joe Coleman is a singer, songwriter, producer, award-winning author and an actor. Joe is married to D&I Expert, Dr. Vanessa Weaver of Alignment Strategies.. He was the lead singer for the world-renown vocal group, The Platters, for over 20 years. He currently sings with Voices of Classic Soul, which features former members of The Temptations, The Platters, The Drifters & The Four Tops. He authored two other books, "Voices From the Pandemic" (an anthology) and "My Time to Shine: The Story of the Fabulous LCB", both on Headline Books. Joe served as Executive Producer and wrote twenty-two original songs for the hit musical, “If This Hat Could Talk”, which told the story of the women of the Civil Rights Movement through the eyes of Civil Rights Icon, Dr. Dorothy Height. Joe also starred in the musical as A. Phillip Randolph. This musical, directed by Tony-Award Winner, George Faison, starred Tony Award-Winner Melba Moore and Grammy Award-Winner Stephanie Mills. Joe’s voice has been featured on the soundtracks of shows like Station 19 (ABC), Couples Therapy (HBO), Mighty Ducks 207 (Disney) Apple TV Promo (Apple) and the STARZ Network Promo Campaign. He wrote and sang the theme song for the Workiin’ It Out Podcast (DCN Network), which is produced by his very own company, DITV Media, where he serves as CEO.
