John Masterson was born in New Castle, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Wayne State University in Detroit in 1974 before moving to Berkeley CA. His interests are practically everything in small doses. He began writing at the age of 8 with a continuation of Abbot and Costello Meet Frankenstein which he wrote in pencil and a Golden Book of Dinosaurs (not exactly Truman Capote). He lost it along with a scrapbook his mother had kept of his other achievements.
