John Thomas is a retired science educator with a first class honours degree in physics from Imperial College, London. He has lived and worked in both the United Kingdom and the Unites States, and studied education psychology at the graduate level at the University of California.
He is the author of a series of high school science and technology books, and, on the subject of creativity, genius and problem solving: "Take Charge of Tomorrow -- and Change It!" (Random House Arrow).
The research for that book, which brought him into contact with the later Ted Matchett, a world authority of the nature of genius, led to a new, simple and practical understanding of Solomon's enigmatic "Song of Songs", published originally as "The Principles of Excellence" but more recently as "King Solomon's Masterclass in Creativity". The "Song" is in fact a book of practical wisdom, complementing "Proverbs" and "Ecclesiastes" to complete a practical wisdom trilogy.
"EvoGenesis -- the New Synthesis"" aims to encourage the development of an informed Christian consensus against evolution.. Although written in an informal, populist style, the book has been examined for technical accuracy by one of Britain's top micro-biologists, and for theological accuracy by an administrative assistant of the Bishop of Salisbury with long experience in the ministry of the Anglican Church. Although wishing to remain anonymous, for reasons touched on in the book, the microbiologist reviewer does say "Everybody should read this!"
Although evolutionists usually dismiss creationist claims as unscientific nonsense, abusive comments on blogs, the posting of infantile "tags" on this very site, and vile email to the author personally, suggests that the tough questions this book asks makes them very angry indeed.
By revisiting the teachings of Oxford University's very first professor of geology, Rev. William Buckland, Thomas demonstrates that the Genesis account of creation accords well with the latest findings of geology and appears to be scientifically accurate and literally true. He also demonstrates, as top evolutionists, such as Prof. Steve Jones admit, that evolution continues to fail the two simple fossil tests proposed for it by Darwin himself.
