Jonas Barter (1949- ) was born in Toronto, Canada, grew up in Ottawa, and has degrees from Queen's University (B.A.), University of Ottawa (B.Ed.), and Carleton University (B.Mus). For most of his career he was a Technical Writer and Trainer. He is a late-blooming singer-songwriter and aspiring stand-up comedian. "Cycling to Dongola: A Memoir" is his first book.
