Jonathan Riffe has been involved in the fire service since 1996. He is a career firefighter with the Annapolis Fire Department and volunteers with the Dunkirk Volunteer Fire Department in Maryland. He is a past Lieutenant with the Washington DC Fire Department, past Chief of the Huntingtown Volunteer Fire Department, and past Deputy Chief with the Dunkirk Volunteer Fire Department. He is an adjunct instructor with the University of Maryland Fire and Rescue Institute. Jonathan has written several articles that have been published in Fire Engineering Magazine and Firehouse Magazine. He is the author of “Thomas Sweatt: Inside the Mind of D.C.’s Most Notorious Arsonist,” was a contributing author in the book, “Pass It On: The Second Alarm” and contributing author in the book, “90 Days of Encouagement 3: Stretching Your Faith.” Jonathan lives in Maryland with his wife, Carrie and two sons, Shepard & Weston. His passions include fishing, crabbing, and traveling.
