Julia Clark was born in 1968 in Los Angeles, California, to an American father and an Italian mother. Since she was a child, during her annual vacations in Southern Italy in her mother's country of origin, she was always fascinated by Italian cuisine, so full of different flavors and ingredients. After her marriage to William, whom she met at the University of Portland, she started having weight problems during the two pregnancies, 3 years apart, of her children James and Emily. During the 90s, Julia tried different techniques that were available at that time, such as the Zone Diet and the Ketogenic Diet, but with modest results. She then decided to read up on alternative methods to lose weight and stay healthy since, after 40 years, she realized that slimming techniques cannot be the same as those used at a young age. She, therefore, decided to undertake Intermittent Fasting, with specific techniques for women in their 50s. After the first period of adaptation, Julia began to have favorable results both in terms of weight loss and renewed energy, necessary to raise her 2 children, now teenagers. Today Julia continues the Intermittent Fasting and has also involved her husband William in her choice. In 2016, they became grandparents to Richard, with whom they take long walks and cook delicious meals with fruits and vegetables from their garden.
