After some time in a military brig, Pookie left the service and grabbed life by the balls, unfortunately after being in the wrong place at the wrong time (namely where the police arrested him) he was asked to spend a little time in a state prison.
10 years in, with another 10 to go, Pookie turned to writing to make the time more productive.
It is hard being a writer inside the joint, there isn’t any internet to do research, so like any creative person would, he turned to what he knows….
