Julian Katz was born in Pennsylvania and raised in New Jersey. He received his BA in English Literature from The College of New Jersey with a concentration in creative writing. His work primarily focuses on LGBTQIA+ fiction, poetry, and visual art as well as alternative music culture. His first novel, Don't Call Me Ishmael, was published in 2021, and his second novel, Dear Brother, was released in 2025. In addition, he has published a collection of poetry, Make Me Feel as Beautiful as You. He currently resides in Colorado Springs, Colorado where he works as an author and educator.
