JULIANNA DAWSON is a 'Dream Achievement Helper', Poet and Author of Inspiring Words: Love’s Journey. Originally from Barbados, Julianna worked for 20 years in the corporate sector in New York City, working with media such as FORTUNE Magazine and Newsweek International. At the age of 30, her life as a career-focused, top salesperson changed dramatically when she witnessed the horrifying disaster at the World Trade Center on September 11th, 2001, where she watched in shock as people "fell like paper" from the windows to street below, and narrowly escaped from the collapse of the Towers. Like so many others, the trauma of this event took its toll upon her, causing both her emotions and her home life to spin wildly out of control. Like many New York professionals, she returned to her job trying to pretend things were "business as usual", but soon realized that 9/11 had opened up a Pandora's Box of questions about life, love, relationships and purpose she had never before considered. From this deep yearning to reconnect all the broken parts of her life rose Julianna's poetry series Inspiring Words. First in this 4-part series is Love’s Journey, where Julianna dives deeply into the cycle of love we all experience when our lives are turned upside down and everything we thought was true is challenged. From bliss and magic, to despair and emptiness, to chaos and confusion, to introspection and truth, to acceptance and healing, and finally to rebuilding and transformation, Love's Journey shows us both the light and dark sides of love, and invites us to embrace them all equally as opportunities to grow and find greater meaning and peace on the other side. These days, Julianna's life is no longer driven by the status quo. She is passionate about inspiring others to see life’s challenges as opportunities to grow and discover their own hidden talents, and to encourage them to help others do the same. As part of her continuing commitment to personal growth, she co-founded the non-profit organization Young Barbadian Professionals Society and set up the Gervis Louisa Brewster Family Endowment Scholarship. She also created the online community Whole Life Change.com, for the purpose of providing tools to help empower and enable people to move through challenging times.
