Born and raised in Kentucky, Julie's first written story was discovered by her mother before she started kindergarten. The discovered "story" was published in squiggled blue crayon on an off-white wall hidden behind the dining room draperies.
Current publications include two children stories:
SNOWBALL is a short chapter book written for reading levels first through fourth grade. It is about a little girl's concern for her grandparents new puppy. She is encouraged to problem solve and find a solution.
BAD DREAM, an illustrated picture book, is about overcoming fear. Using imagery and imagination, the little boy confides his fear to his Grumpa. The grandfather shows how we all can be afraid, and act out of fear.
