A former elementary classroom teacher, Karen has dedicated her life to both of her passions - education and animal welfare. In her current role as a humane educator at an animal shelter, she works to instill kindness, compassion and empathy into everything she does.
A Michigan native, she is currently enjoying life with her son and four furry kids.
Karen holds a Master's of Education Degree in Humane Education and a B.A. with elementary teacher certification. Karen is also a board member for the Humane Education Coalition.
