In his teens, Karlous Naderi joined a street gang in Southern California where he was ultimately injured multiple times by a 12-gauge shotgun. After working his way through the rough years where he had ten major surgeries, he emerged as a blind survivor with an unbreakable spirit. He went to the foundation of Jr. Blind where he perfected his craft and learned how to use the white cane and type. Soon, he enrolled at Glendale college and started teaching other blind students to develop special computer skills.
Inspired to reach for the stars, he cultivated his ears as a production artist and joined some of the top names in hip-hop on stage.
A decade later, as fate would deliver, Karlous experienced another major setback that would overturn his life again. These trials ignited his passion for writing which was a solace in these trying times. Since then, along with writing fiction, Karlous has also shared about his life experiences and the invaluable lessons he has gained along the way.
Through his work, he continually inspires, encourages and empowers others as much as he entertains.
