I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the New England Area, and have worked with children and families for almost 20 years. Before this, I began my career as a Pre-school Teacher and worked in Education for many years. I hold two Masters degrees one in Education and the other in Counseling Psychology. I chose to make the switch to counseling after having students leave our school for mental health and behavioral issues. I wanted to understand the "why" more thoroughly and how I could be on the helping side. I am so proud of this book, it has been quite a journey. I am grateful to my husband, my family and friends for their support and my dog Archie who was always available to be my audience when editing my book.
