I grew up hiding from life's chaos under my bed with books, the best place in the world. I fell in love early with the 19th century novels of Austen, the Brontës, Dickens, Trollope, and Eliot and developed a passion for complicated plots and too many characters with conflicting motivations, both obvious and hidden.
I love to write variations and retellings of old classics and to spin new stories out of my own somewhat addled brain. I still hide from the world in books.
