Kate Porter is the author of the New Apple Book Award winning mystery, BLACK HARVEST and Indie Book of the Day Award winner SECRETS IN BETHLEHEM.
Originally from Spencer Indiana, a small town about fifty miles south of Indianapolis, her first short story was published in the high school newspaper when she was only fifteen. Since that time Kate has studied fiction writing at Greenville Technical College, appeared at several author events and comic cons, and was profiled in Woman’s Day magazine. Kate’s creative endeavors include novels in multiple genres, feature length spec scripts, one hour drama pilots and half hour sitcom pilots.
After moving to the Southeast in 1995, Kate has fallen in love with the mystery and magic of the area. When she isn’t writing, or percolating a new story idea, she and her best friend are either discovering new favorite shops and restaurants in one of America’s most haunted cities, Savannah Georgia, or cracking each other up by holding entire conversations with GIFs.
