Who is this award-winning writer of ecomysteries?
Kathy McIntosh is a reformed hi-tech marketer and former columnist on words and writing. She grew up in the San Fernando Valley near L.A. and spent 30 years in Idaho, so she’s familiar with both urban and rural kookiness. She and her husband moved to Tucson, Arizona, to escape the snow, and fell in love with the Sonoran Desert and their new community. A foodie haven!
Her first novel, MUSTARD'S LAST STAND, introduced a slew of endearing oddballs, many of whom resurfaced in FOUL WIND, the second in the Havoc in Hancock series. In those novels, Kathy used humor to navigate her readers through the wilds of North Idaho.
In Murder, Sonoran Style, An Adventure Calls Mystery, Kathy transferred her passion for animals, vegetables and minerals to the Sonoran desert. But she didn't leave her sense of humor in Idaho in this ecomystery about the death of a developer in the desert and the team of ecotourism guides who solve his murder.
In Murder, Cottonwood Style, the Adventure Calls chef finds herself in hot water when she discovers the body of a crusty former client.
Kathy enjoys exploring new cuisines and places, hiking, reading, and photography.
