I was born in Michigan and lived eight years in various parts of Northern Canada. Some of the places we lived were very remote. I learned very early on to delve into books during the long cold winters for my entertainment. It was there that I discovered the worlds of I, Robot and Watership Down. I enjoy fantasy and science fiction equally, but sci-fi has always been close to my heart. When I started writing, it was always sci-fi for me.
