Kelly Daugherty, MSW, FT, is a Clinical Social Worker and Fellow in Thanatology, the study of death, dying, and bereavement, with over 22 years of experience in the field of grief and loss. Kelly graduated with her BSW and MSW from Florida State University. She has worked as a therapist, program manager, and clinical director at mental health agencies and hospices. Currently, Kelly is the owner of the Center for Informed Grief, LLC, which aims to help school personnel and therapists become more grief-informed. The center provides opportunities for teachers, counselors, social workers, and administrators, as well as mental health therapists, to learn new and effective ways to support grieving children. In addition, Kelly owns and operates a private practice, Greater Life Grief Counseling, LCSW, in Malta, NY. She has helped thousands of individuals navigate their grief journey through individual and group therapy for children, adolescents, and adults experiencing bereavement. Kelly is known for her innovative, multi-faceted programs, including grief groups. One such program, Healing Strides, LLC, combines grief counseling with walk/run-based therapy. Kelly is dedicated to helping individuals integrate their grief into their lives in a healthy way by developing healthy coping skills and achieving their goals through the utilization of cutting-edge, proven techniques. Her expertise in thanatology, combined with her passion for helping others, has made her a highly sought-after speaker and consultant in the field of grief and loss.
