It seems a little silly to write my Bio as the book is an autobiography so I decided to share the "author's note" instead. Author’s Note The title "One Step Over the Line" came to me in my late twenties. It was a takeoff of the song "One Toke over the Line". I knew then that my story was all because I had just taken one wrong step over the line! Keep in mind, and trust me, I had no idea this story would keep going for decades or how it would all come to an end, although no doubt I should have! The stories you'll read are all 100% true! No "fish stories" or hype! In the interest of good storytelling and making a "good read," I've consolidated people, places, and times. To ensure accuracy along with my notes and memory, countless hours of research have been done. Having said this, I have had to look back over five decades! Names were changed to protect both the guilty and the innocent. This book has also helped me deal with what has turned out to be severe PTSD. Something I had no idea I could have. I thought it was only for others. As one army veteran explained to me, "It happens when we slow down. After all the running and gunning is over." When the world slows down, you find yourself living "Just life." PTSD is crippling and painful; trust me, it can be extremely dangerous. So this I am grateful for! In closing, this is my first attempt at writing. If you are listening to an audio version, I hope you'll enjoy my narration. If you're reading as a book, I hope you enjoy the read!
