Kia Gordon has been fond of poetry for most of her life. Poetry caught her interest when she was a child due Hip-Hop music. She became even more intrigued when she took a poetry class in high school. She has written several inspirational poems and newsletters for family and friends over the years. Her first book, the Ki: a poetic memoir, is a culmination of various poems that illustrate her growth and maturity. Kia is from North Chicago, IL and has two sons. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and still resides in the Midwest.
