Situated on fifty acres in Northern Michigan, my little house nestles within a wall of cedar trees. I watch birds at my feeders as I write poetry, comparative religion works, and science fiction. On the third Wednesday of each month, at 1 PM Eastern, I host an international radio show called Deep Communion, asking gardeners and artists, professional clergy and home-based hermits, working folks and students to define their spiritual journeys, share where they came from and where they are going, and looking into simple lives of manifesting spirit. I garden, raise North American Retrievers, goats, chickens and rabbits, weave and paint and make original music on my keyboard and cedar flute. And I read voraciously, across many genres. A simple life, here among the trees. A rich life, at play so much in the mansions of the mind.
