Lee Sowder grew up in Roanoke, Virginia and writes with a love for her Blue Ridge Mountain roots. She graduated college with a degree in Sociology and spent the majority of her twenties traveling between Texas and Maine. At one point, her uncle asked her when she was coming out of retirement. She did, and spent the next thirty years in Richmond, Virginia, where she still resides, attending writing workshops while sampling various careers from Youth Counselor to Realtor to Project Manager. She is currently retired and working on her second novel.
