I am a lifelong poet who also publishes fiction. As a girl, I yearned to be Laura Ingalls Wilder. After a childhood of frequent moves to several states and abroad, I now love living in Minnesota, reading, quilting, taking pictures, making soup, writing (poetry, fiction, essays), and learning new things with my daughter, Julia, and my husband, Tim. I am a passionate supporter of education for girls in developing countries and for healthy arts environments everywhere. Since 2012, it delights me to see poems imprinted in the sidewalks of my hometown. Currently, I am refining Reading the Bones, a new manuscript of my collected poems, and finishing the first drafts of two adult novels: Where Dreams Reside, a story of three generations of women, and Starry, Starry, Death, a murder mystery set in Minnesota that combines the worlds of visual art, poetry, astrology, small towns, big cities, and the impulses, both murderous and loving, of the human heart. Happy reading!
