Lori Stohs is a builder of people, companies, and nonprofits. Her driving desire and her mission are to help organizations maximize their effectiveness through their most valuable asset, their human capital. As such, she specializes in strategic planning, human capital alignment, performance management, organizational performance, selection and hiring, and strength-based development. Organizations that have made a successful impact through the use of Lori’s philosophy include American Girl, Best Buy, Chick-fil-A, Discover, Marriott, Proctor & Gamble, Gensler, Perkins+Will, RDG Planning and Design, Interface, First Financial Credit Union, Union Pacific, American National Bank, and United Healthcare Group. Lori’s years of impactful consulting with companies from all over the globe have helped move leaders and their teams to higher levels of performance. Lori’s talent is seeing an organization in a multidimensional way and using this viewpoint, helping leaders discover, understand, and sort through the noise and connect the dots. In the process, she helps them develop their unique strengths and talents and advises them on how to maximize performance. Her years of working with individuals and corporate teams have honed her ability to connect to a group of individuals by their strengths, immediately recognizing areas of success, potential pitfalls, and opportunities for growth. She is a world-class facilitator and translator who is able to bring things to the table that are many times the root cause of the challenge. In addition to leading Lori Stohs Consulting Group, Lori has served as Chief People Officer at Think Whole Person Healthcare, a startup organization of 350 employees, creating culture, strengths-based hiring practices, and HR strategy and implementation. Before starting Lori Stohs Consulting in 2009, Lori served as a Global Account Executive for Microsoft. In her role, she consulted with companies to create technology solutions to meet business needs and strategic plans. Prior to her role at Microsoft, Lori served as a Principal at Gallup Consulting, a global research-based consulting firm, and Executive Director of Gallup University. Community philanthropy is a priority for Lori and has always been a part of her life. Lori is a founding board member for Executives Without Borders, a global nonprofit organization. She is passionate about giving executive volunteers an engaging experience in working with nonprofit organizations as well as helping nonprofits increase their impact across the world. She is also a founding board member and facilitator for Leadership for Life, a faith-based leadership program. She was a founding board member for Social Impact Omaha, a nonprofit focusing on collaborative social responsibility. Her passion for impacting children and young adults is shown through her commitment to the Ronald McDonald House Charity Board and Hope Center for Kids Board. Lori received her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Nebraska—Lincoln and has continued as a lifelong student to grow her knowledge through various psychology, business, and human capital courses. She resides in Omaha, Nebraska.
