Lu Fraser loves books; she loves the shape of them, the feel of them & even the smell of them (she's been caught giving them a good sniff when she thinks no one is looking!).
Her debut picture book, 'The Littlest Yak' (illustrated by Kate Hindley) won the Oscars Book Prize, The Sainsbury's Best Picture Book Award & The Sainsbury's Children's Book of the Year Award, whilst her second book, 'The Viking Who Liked Icing' (illustrated by Mark McKinley) was shortlisted for the Waterstones Children's Book Award.
Over the years Lu has lived in lots of places (& travelled to lots more) but the one thing she always packs is a good book. Now she gets to write her own books in a shed in her garden. Lu is pretty sure life doesn't get any better than that.
After books, Lu is also very fond of Yaks, Vikings, Witchlings & Camels. Luckily for her family she hasn't put any of these in her shed (yet...).
Lu lives in the south of England, in the middle of nowhere, with her husband & daughter & their much-hugged Beagle & Great Dane.
