Lyla Cork was born and raised in Belize. As a child, she explored her native country with her family, and she enjoyed learning about the history of her homeland. The daughter of multicultural parents, she has always been interested in Belize’s multicultural aspects and international appeal. Lyla has a BA in creative writing, and she has published nonfiction works as a writer and an editor. The Sky Place is her first novel.
