I started my first Internet business in 1998 at the age of 21. I talked my father into buying me a computer at OfficeMax, took it home and worked my butt off. I had a full time job and all my friends were in college.
Back then, it was very different, harder, much harder. I'll never forget the 12 hour days sweating at my desktop PC trying to build my website using static HTML code, and Microsoft Frontpage.
Of course, SEO was much easier, but other aspects were harder. Heck a lot of us didn't even know if the "Internet" thing would even last!
All I have to say is that anyone starting a business online today has it made! The technology does most of the hard work, all you have to focus on is market research and analytics, scaling up, COPYWRITING and creating million dollar ideas!
It only really took me about 15 days to get a nice website built, and informational product sales page and ordering system. It took me about 20 days before my first sale came in
$29 of pure profit, since it was all SEO traffic (Free traffic)
I'll never forget that first sale, when I awoke in the morning getting ready for work I checked my email and there was $29 for me. I went to work feeling great, and when I came home, I checked my email again and a string of 17 $29 dollar orders populated my email que!
Now, mind you, I was only 21 years old when I did this, but this ittle taste of success is very important in the beginning. It gave me the fire to keep going forward!
Today, this can be done in TWO days! I assure you if you never made a dime of entrepreneurial profit online, when you get your first order/profit..it will be awesome and addictive, you will want to turn it into $100 a day, then $500 a day, then $1,000 a day.
Try it and see for yourself! If you have very little money to start, I highly recommend writing your own ebooks and selling on Kindle, or selling affiliate marketing products from Clickbank. Whatever you do...START SMALL, that is very key..slowly grow, because on the Internet, tracking and analytics is very important. Once you DISCOVER the golden key audience and metrics to an offer, then you scale up into the millions.
Today I have several Ecommerce operations, a global publishing company, a cyber security company and an affiliate marketing media company.
