The end…
Of course not!
About a million years ago when I was a kid, my sister (Debbie) and I used to make up stories, and so was born the Karillapig.
I know what you’re thinking; you’re thinking “oh how the hours must have flown by” but fly by they did. Certainly, looking back as the (ahem) civilised adult I have become, it is with fond memories that I recall my first encounters with the Karillapig.
A few years ago I began putting stories together, and then came the illustrations by Mark Rowe which were adapted from rough sketches and brought to life. The stories are all very much tongue in cheek and are wholly written with humour in mind.
I have always been told I have an imagination. This is my normal, I strongly believe in the power of imagination and that life doesn’t have to be so serious all the time. My message to anybody who wishes to write is do it! Never let anybody tell you your dreams are unimportant - as a very wise man said "If you can dream it, you can do it".
My vision for the Karillapig? Well I would simply like people to enjoy the stories.
Update: Feb 2023
Writing is an awesome thing! People say they could never write a book - I say 'you can do anything if you put your mind to it?'
I am currently writing book 3 in the Karillapig series (as yet this is untitled). My illustrator Mark Rowe and myself are super excited as book 2, 'The Tremendous Travels and Intergalactic Misgivings of the Karillapig', is due for release very soon - so please look put for this..
If you have yet to meet the Karillapig, what're you waiting for? I promise, you'll never look at the Moon, or to be more precise, the darker side of the Moon in the same way!
