I discovered my love of writing at an early age, but as a young and creative person, there were always other ideas floating around in my head about what I wanted to do with my life.
At the age of 21, I started sailing for the English shipping company Cunard on their dream ships and gathered a wealth of experience on my voyages around the world. During this time I wrote a few articles for the "Seereisemagazin", which were published to my great joy.
When the great love in the form of a very attractive Norwegian ship officer then stood in front of me and asked for a glass of wine in the evening with me in his cabin, it was done around me and the buccaneer life had an end. I moved to Norway and lived there happily for 17 years. We had three children, with whom I live since 2008 again near Hamburg.
