Born Nicholas James Philip Wegner 1948 Bromley Kent (Nicholas Philip James from 2002) father Fritz Wegner, illustrator (1924-2015) mother Janet writer and journalist.Studied painting with Frank Auerbach at the Slade School of Art, UCL, and History of Art (MA) at Kingston University 1995. He since worked as a writer, editor and publisher.
